Nurse call systems work in hospitals providing the hospital bed with communication capability with central control. In case a patient needs help, they can press a button; but central contraol can also be able to keep track of vital signs monotors from a central location.

Hotel room door locks use both IC and RFID card technology. Allows the guests to be given access to the room for the duration of the time booked or paid for. Once the duration expires, the guest has to return to the reception to have the card renewed.
